Dr. Osama Al Hasan
He is the Vice-Chair of Emirates Health Informatics Society and a Specialist at Health Informatics and Smart Health Department at the Dubai Health Authority.
He also maintains good relations with the academic medium as he works as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the e-School of Health and Environmental Studies at HBMSU. He obtained a PhD in software Engineering from the University of Leicester and an MSc from Imperial College in the UK.
Prior to and during his studies, he spent 10 years serving multiple teaching and research positions in Middle Eastern and UK universities. He developed an interest in Healthcare Information Systems during his PhD studies, which allowed him to play key roles in several healthcare authorities in Dubai after completing his research works. Dr. Osama joined Dubai Health Authority in October 2012 to take the responsibility of devising and executing DHA’s e-Health vision and to establish Dubai’s Health Information Exchange Project i.e. NABIDH.
Dr. Elhassan has also gained practical experience in eHealth workforce development and Healthcare Information management.
